Filtered "My Links" Menu

Problem

  • SharePoint has a feature called “My Links”. SharePoint by default shows you a list of every site that you are a member of in one long scrolling list.
  • For example if you are a member of 4 sites and those sites have multiple layers of sub sites, it will show you all sites and sub sites listed out in a long list.
  • List before implementing the filter

Solution

  • Implement a filter that reduces the number of items in the menu by only showing the items which are most important through a proprietary algorithm.

Features

  • Displays a shortened alphabetized list of menu items.
  • Meeting workspaces are broken out and placed in their own sub menu.
