AllMyTasks

Problem

  • SharePoint by default does not have the ability to create a content query web part that displays the list of tasks throughout all the SharePoint sites that are assigned to an individual from their “My Site”.
Solution

  • AllMyTasks centralizes and monitors all task lists you have access to and displays tasks assigned to you.
Features

  • Shows you all your tasks arranged in due date order with context sensitive coloring.
    • Red – task is overdue
    • Orange – task is due within the next 5 days
    • Black – task is upcoming
  • Optionally, shows deferred and completed tasks at the bottom of the list. This is set via the “Modify Web Part” administrative tool.
Rules

  • AllMyTasks looks for any task assigned to you. It will update new and recently updated tasks immediately, and may take a few minutes to update existing tasks that haven’t been touched in a while.
