SiteTracker
Keeping track of the changes made to the intranet can be difficult. In order to accomplish this, you need to subscribe to a list to know if the item(s) has changed. Subscribing to the many lists available or having knowledge of the lists can be difficult and time consuming. SiteTracker will display all the items that have change in the areas that you are interested in and allow you to mark them as read so that SiteTracker can start to watch for new changes.
-
AllMyTasks
SharePoint by default does not have the ability to create a content query web part that displays the list of tasks throughout all the SharePoint sites that are assigned to an individual from their “My Site”. AllMyTasks centralizes and monitors all task lists you have access to and displays tasks assigned to you.
-
Document Discussion
SharePoint offers both document libraries and threaded discussions however they are located in different SharePoint lists. Some clients would like to have both located together to facilitate the process of discussing documents. Document Discussion allows you to have a threaded discussion around a specific document by combining the standard SharePoint document library with the standard SharePoint discussion on a single screen.
-
Send as Attachment
SharePoint default does not support emailing a document directly from a document library. In order to email a document you must first save the file locally and then create your email and attach the document manually. Send as Attachement gives you the ability to right click and email a copy directly from SharePoint.
-
Move Agenda Items
Moving agenda items around requires cutting and pasting, a very error-prone and confusing action considering one usually needs to swap agenda items. In your meeting if you don’t get to a particular agenda item, SharePoint default doesn’t allow for moving those items to the next meeting. Move Agenda Items enables you to move an agenda item to the next occurrence date in a recurring meeting series.
-
Show-Email-Address
Getting the email address of the list that is email enabled can be somewhat difficult. In order to accomplish you need to go into the Site Settings menu and filter through to find the area that shows the email address. Show Email Address automatically creates an email link in the default view of the email enabled list page.
-
Filtered "My Links" Menu
By default SharePoint shows you a list of every site that you are a member of in one long scrolling list. This makes it difficult to navigate through. Implementing a special filter reduces the number of items in the menu by only showing the items which are most important through a proprietary algorithm.
