Microsoft Announces Third Quarter New York/New Jersey Area Partner Awards Program Winners
Microsoft is pleased to announce its third quarter winners of the U.S. Field Partner Awards Program in the New York/New Jersey Area. This program recognizes the contributions of partners serving small, mid-market and enterprise commercial customers.
"Microsoft places tremendous value on our partners to help us deliver solutions and applications to customers," said Sarah Steiger, New York/ New Jersey Area General Manager for Microsoft’s Small and Midmarket Solutions and Partners (SMS&P) group. "We believe these organizations should be acknowledged for their great contributions and achievements over the past quarter."
In the third quarter, partners were recognized across eight individual categories: General Manager Award, Competency, Winning in Value, Customer Satisfaction, Marketing Excellence, Compete, Loyalty and Teamwork. Category winners will also be entered into the annual Regional Awards program, presented this summer at the World-Wide Partner Conference in Denver. Winners for the New York/New Jersey Area are as follows:
Hedgehog Development, Holbrook, NY - Customer Satisfaction
Hedgehog Development was engaged by one of the ten largest financial broker firms in the United States to implement the Microsoft Visual Studio Team System, Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007, Microsoft SQL Server reporting services, Microsoft Office 2007, and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007, in effort to improve productivity. As a result, Hedgehog Development has positioned itself as a trusted advisor to its clients for all Microsoft technology.
NetCom Information Technology, New York - Marketing Excellence
NetCom Information Technology combines the very best of Internet distributed technologies with the traditional instructor led classroom training to maximize the successful training of our students. With the company’s recent acquisition of Computer Training Magazine, NetCom worked to position Steve Ballmer in a cover story highlighting People Ready Business. Computer Training Magazine is now positioned as a business driver, creating opportunities to strategically drive business for Channel Partners and Microsoft and opportunities to deliver training solutions.
The Henson Group, Inc., New York - Compete, Loyalty
The Henson Group, Inc. expended substantial resources to participate in the Microsoft Desktop Deployment Planning Services (DDPS) program and has recently released DDPS 2007. With 15 three-day DDPS engagements, The Henson Group promoted Windows Vista and Microsoft Office 2007 in excess of 45 days, or 360 hours of services, well below the market rate. This effort represented a minimum investment of $45,000.
United ERP, LLC, Englewood Cliffs, NJ - Teamwork
United ERP, LLC, works directly with intellectual property and Royalty Management Solutions based on Microsoft Dynamics AX technology. In particular, United ERP worked with Rodgers and Hammerstein to implement Microsoft Dynamics AX in effort to manage company financials and licensing. United’s Dynamics AX sales have resulted in approximately $700,000 in Microsoft revenue.
IMPACT Management, Hicksville, NY - Teamwork
The LI Microsoft Gold Partner Alliance, a coalition of partners with complimentary offerings, provides greater value and leveraged services, more so than any one individual partner. With members such as IMPACT Management, Business Solutions Partners, New Horizons of LI, Software House International and Custom Computer Specialists, the alliance has shared nearly 15 leads and has made numerous partner and client introductions.

The Winning in Value award recognizes the partner’s commitment to providing companies with high-quality solutions in a way that is reasonable and cost-efficient.
Customer Satisfaction
The Customer Satisfaction and Experience award recognizes a partner who has consistently provided exceptional customer satisfaction. It also rewards positive, predictable, value-based experience created by the partner for customers through superior achievement or programs designed to dramatically improve customer experience.
Competency
The Competencies and Best Practices award recognizes exceptional expertise or competency by a partner in a specific industry, vertical, solution or segment. It also celebrates the partner’s commitment to their specific area of specialization.
General Manager Award
The General Manager award recognizes special or outstanding achievement by a partner. It also recognizes superior partner growth in revenues or new customer business.
Marketing Excellence
The Marketing Excellence award recognizes partners who constantly seek to improve their processes and practices, sharing their expertise and ideas with others. It also recognizes partners who leverage and build on Microsoft’s GTM activities to provide great value in reaching customers to help solve business problems using MS technology.
Compete
The Compete award recognizes key competitive wins achieved by partners who secure tough competitive software solution opportunities.
Loyalty
The Loyalty award recognizes partners who have been exceptionally loyal to Microsoft either through tenure milestones, or through an outstanding act of loyalty that demonstrated their commitment to Microsoft.
Teamwork
The Teamwork award recognizes situations where multiple partners work together to realize the full potential of solutions for the customer.
