Sitecore development is a natural extension of our developer’s skills, and our teams approach to project management and delivery. Because Sitecore is built on top Microsoft’s .NET framework, we made the conscious decision to develop a custom process template for Sitecore development using Microsoft Team Foundation Server. This process template easily allows our business analysts, project managers, developers, and testers to all work together In July 2009, we published the site template as an open source project on Codeplex. We did this because we are passionate about both products, and while we would love to be able to do every single Sitecore project in the world, we know that, that is not a reality. So, we wanted to give other teams the ability to produce solid Sitecore projects.

Hedgehog Development has been a Sitecore Implementation Partner since its inception, and in January of 2010 we became only the second company to be named both an Implementation Partner and Technology Partner. We were named a Technology Partner on the strength of our hugely succesful product Team Development for Sitecore which we released in July 2009. Our Team Development for Sitecore (TDS) extension to Microsoft Visual Studio is changing the way Sitecore development is done. Before TDS, the installation of Sitecore code produced by multiple developers was an extremely manual process. With TDS, teams can now easily collaborate.
