.NET Web Developers with a focus on SharePoint
Hedgehog Development seeks .NET Developers who have experience developing applications for the Web and demonstrate intermediate development and basic administration capabilities in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007.
Responsibilities:
- Developing custom web based software solutions for clients based upon their business requirements
- Creating custom Web Parts for MOSS 2007
- Building of SharePoint solutions, features and templates
- Managing SharePoint Lists
- Taking part in developing test plans
- Assisting in deployment of applications
- Working with designers to develop logical layouts while maintaining ease of implementation and timely deployments
- Collaborating with Project Management Team and other Developers to ensure tasks are completed on time or ahead of schedule as this is a time and cost sensitive environment
- The ability to accurately estimate effort required for software/application modifications when requested
- Interfacing with client to determine scope of corporate SharePoint site or presence
- It is essential that the candidate be exceedingly detail oriented, self-directed and open-minded to contribute and exchange ideas in a team environment
- Multitasking between regular task requests, small projects and work as a team member on larger projects
- Maintaining a well-organized work environment through effective time management and the prioritizing of assigned tasks
- Ability to recognize opportunities for Hedgehog Development to grow within existing engagements and beyond
Requirements:
- MOSS 2007
- Creating custom Web Parts for MOSS
- InfoPath
- SharePoint Designer
- Basic SharePoint Administration and how it interfaces with the Web site
- Web Content Management
- CAML
- Strong understanding of the SharePoint API
- Understanding of SharePoint search and configuration
- Understanding of SharePoint security model
- Ability and desire to learn and adopt new technology quickly
This position requires a professional and an effective communicator as there will be regular phone, e-mail and face-to-face contact with clients, client teams as well as internal staff and project teams which may include the gathering of information to produce and deliver estimates, proposals and/or formal presentations
Must have the flexibility to travel based on customer and/or project needs
Candidates that meet all of the above qualifications will distinguish themselves with experience in one or more of the following areas:
- C#
- ASP.NET
- HTML
- JavaScript
- XML/XSL
- AJAX
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Microsoft Certifications
- Active involvement in organizations and/or activities which enhance technological or career advancement as well as visibility for the individual and the company
Education/Training
To qualify for a position at Hedgehog Development, you must possess a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field experience and at least 3-5 years recent programming experience.
Ideal candidate must have experience working in a team development environment.
